The international activities of Famiglie Storiche, the association of thirteen historic Valpolicella wineries committed to promoting Amarone and the region's winemaking culture, continue. In August, the association will be in the United States to participate in two prestigious events aimed at industry professionals, sommeliers, buyers, and opinion leaders from the wine world.
The first event is scheduled for August 23rd and 24th in Irving, Texas , as part of TexSom , one of the most respected educational and professional wine events in the United States. Famiglie Storiche will participate in the program with a series of walkaround tastings reserved for participating sommeliers, offering the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Amarone through the interpretations of thirteen member wineries. A luncheon dedicated to TexSom Summer Camp participants is also planned for August 23rd.
The US presence will continue on August 26th in San Francisco , at the prestigious Fairmont Hotel, where Famiglie Storiche will host a day entirely dedicated to the excellence of Valpolicella. The event will include a masterclass moderated by Paul Wagner, one of the most recognized experts and communicators of American wine, followed by an extensive walkaround tasting aimed at industry professionals.
These two events represent an important opportunity to consolidate the association's presence in one of the most strategic markets for Italian wine and to explore the identity of contemporary Amarone, a central theme of Famiglie Storiche's work.
"The United States has always been a key market for Amarone and for the companies in our association. Through high-profile events like TexSom and the San Francisco masterclass, we want to continue engaging with industry professionals, sharing not only our wines but also the culture, history, and heritage that make Valpolicella unique," says Luca Speri, President of Famiglie Storiche .
Through tastings, meetings, and training sessions, the American events will offer industry professionals the opportunity to delve deeper into the diverse expressions of Amarone and gain a closer look at the work of the Historic Families, committed daily to promoting one of Italy's most important fine wines.
