VAL DI CEMBRA: THE MAJOR EVENT DEDICATED TO MÜLLER THURGAU

An international event celebrating one of the region's iconic wines, featuring free tastings, expert meetings, and immersive experiences, organized by the Cembra Valley Exhibition Committee in collaboration with the Cembra Valley Tourist Association, Fiemme Cembra Tourism Board, Trentino Marketing, and the Trentino Wine Consortium. The event also features the participation of the Trentino Wine and Flavors Route, the Trentino Grappa Protection Institute, and the Trentino Alto Adige Women of Wine Association.

The heart of the event will be Palazzo Maffei , an elegant 17th-century building, where visitors can taste dozens of Müller Thurgau labels from various Italian and international wine producing regions. A team of AIS sommeliers will be available to provide information and tasting suggestions, supported by a group of young local people.

The program for wine enthusiasts will also include the awards ceremony and tasting of the winning wines of the 23rd International Competition , whose tasting panel will take place two weeks earlier, on Friday, June 19th. A team of 18 judges, divided into three tasting panels, each composed of oenologists, journalists, and sommeliers, will evaluate the competing wines. The tastings will be blind tastings according to the Union Internationale des Oenologues method, which involves evaluation of sight, smell, taste, and taste-smell.

An in-depth masterclass will also be offered: sommelier and journalist Giuseppe Carrus will lead guests on a journey through the wines of the Cembra Valley and other Italian production areas to discover how extreme terroirs, flavors, time, and verticality translate into the glass.

Mixology will also be on display, with a special event dedicated to grappa: bartender Leonardo Veronesi will guide the audience through the art of mixology in a special lesson where participants will be able to try their hand at creating custom cocktails.

Heroes takes you on a stroll through the vineyards, stopping for food and wine along the way and, new this year, a final barbecue surrounded by the vines . Those who prefer two wheels can opt for Cantine in sella , an e-bike itinerary with stops at several local wineries to discover firsthand the work and passion that goes into every bottle produced on these steep slopes. Among the initiatives, a comedy show by actress Loredana Cont, "The Ironic Wine Women – Le don ironiche del vim ," accompanied by a tasting organized by the Donne del Vino Trentino Alto Adige.

At the table, however, the festival plays the surprise card. Around the World in 80 Müllers returns, an ethnic cooking show showcasing the versatility of this wine: after Japan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand, this year it's Nigeria 's turn, with three recipes offered for tasting by Tracy Eboigbodin , winner of MasterChef Italia 11. And then there's the dinner on the avenue under the stars , celebrating the union between the Cembra and Fiemme regions with a menu featuring food and wine specialties from the two valleys, enhanced by a thrilling performance by professional dancers from the Ritmomisto dance school.

The offer is completed by a rich program of themed initiatives , organized in the local cellars , scheduled from Friday to Sunday, from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm , and the gastronomic proposal of the Rural Women , who will delight guests every day with traditional dishes.

Wines and mountains

The Müller Thurgau: Mountain Wine event is part of the “Wines and Mountains” series of events, dedicated to promoting the most representative wines of Trentino and their territories, together with DiVin Nosiola, when wine becomes holy, scheduled between March and April in Valle dei Laghi; the Teroldego Exhibition, scheduled in May in Piana Rotaliana; and La Vigna Eccellente, scheduled from October 1st to 4th in Isera.
