The 2025 edition of Taste Alto Piemonte , the event promoted by the Consorzio Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte and dedicated to the wines and producers of Northern Piedmont, concluded with great success. Over 1,200 enthusiasts, professionals, and wine lovers attended the two-day event of tastings and meetings hosted in the magnificent halls of the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées in Stresa , confirming the resounding success of an edition that confirmed the growing appeal and prestige of the Alto Piemonte appellations.
" We are very satisfied with this eighth edition, which saw the participation of the largest number of companies since the inception of the event ," comments Andrea Fontana , president of the Consorzio Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte. " This result demonstrates the growing awareness of the quality and potential of our territory. Taste Alto Piemonte confirms its position as a top-level promotional and discussion event, capable of uniting producers, professionals, and the public around an authentic story of identity, landscapes, and extraordinary wines ."
A positive outcome that is accompanied by a sense of satisfaction shared by the Consortium's Vice President, Lorella Zoppis : " I would like to heartily thank the participating companies, the Piedmont Region , the Municipality of Stresa , and all the sponsors and partners who believed in and supported this event, contributing to its growth year after year. Taste Alto Piemonte is the fruit of collective effort, of a region that knows how to work as a team and that continues to grow in reputation and visibility ."
The eighth edition of Taste Alto Piemonte brought over fifty producers representing the ten protected designations —Boca DOC, Bramaterra DOC, Colline Novaresi DOC, Coste della Sesia DOC, Fara DOC, Gattinara DOCG, Ghemme DOCG, Lessona DOC, Sizzano DOC, and Valli Ossolane DOC— to Stresa for a tasting experience showcasing the richness and diversity of Alto Piemonte's terroirs. At the tasting tables, curated by AIS Piemonte , producers, sommeliers, and winemakers guided the public through the many nuances of Nebbiolo and other native varietals, while five masterclasses offered high-level technical insights, focusing on the protected designations and including a special tasting dedicated to the wines of Sannio , this year's guest of honor.
The Wine Weeks event, which has been a resounding success over the past few weeks, has brought restaurants, taverns, wine bars, and wineries to life in the provinces of Novara, Vercelli, Biella, and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. For weeks, wine enthusiasts have been able to taste the event's featured wines and discover new interpretations of the region's wines paired with local cuisine.
A sign of continuity and vitality for a territory that continues to grow and make itself known, bringing Alto Piemonte ever more to the centre of the Italian wine scene.
