SUCCESS FOR VALTÈNESI IN ROSA 2025 AT MONIGA DEL GARDA CASTLE

Great success for the 2025 edition of Valtènesi in Rosa , the most important showcase dedicated to the rosés of the Garda Riviera, hosted from May 30th to June 1st in the extraordinary setting of the Castle of Moniga del Garda. The event, now in its third consecutive year in this exceptional location, was created thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality of Moniga del Garda and the Consorzio Valtènesi, confirming itself as a reference event for enthusiasts, experts and professionals in the sector.

In three days, over 5,000 visitors from all over Italy and abroad took part in an immersive experience of taste, landscape and culture. The nearly 100 labels for tasting , offered by over 40 local wineries , recounted the extraordinary variety and quality of Valtènesi rosés, an authentic expression of the native Groppello grape variety.

“ We are deeply satisfied with the response we received this year ,” says Paolo Pasini , president of the Valtènesi Consortium. “Valtènesi in Rosa continues to grow and consolidate itself as a strategic opportunity to affirm the identity of our rosé, which combines elegance and historical roots in a balance that is increasingly recognized at an international level.”

The opening evening on Friday 30 May was also particularly well attended, culminating with the awarding of the Molmenti Trophy , given to the best Valtènesi of the 2024 vintage, selected among the excellent wines of the National Wine Competition. A moment of great symbolic value, which renewed the bond between Moniga del Garda and the historical figure of Senator Molmenti, creator of the modern rosé gardesano.

Seven finalist wineries with their Valtènesi Riviera del Garda Classico 2024: Leali di Monteacuto, Tenute del Garda, Cantine Scolari, Turina, Redaelli de Zinis, Franzosi, Cascina Belmonte.

The 2025 Molmenti Trophy goes to the Turina winery in Moniga del Garda with its Valtènesi Riviera del Garda Classico Doc 2024 Fontanamora.

“ Selecting the winner of the Molmenti Prize was not easy: the quality level of the rosés in the competition was extremely high, confirming the constant growth of the Valtènesi denomination ,” declared Carlo Alberto Panont , co-director of the Valtènesi Consortium. “ The choice was the result of careful evaluation, rewarding a wine that was able to best express the elegance, balance and identity of the territory .”

The Consorzio Valtènesi and the Municipality of Moniga will meet again in 2026 with a new edition that promises to surprise even more, continuing to write the history of a wine and a territory that never cease to enchant.
