NATURAL EVOLUTION 2026: from the Fuori Salone to the seventh edition of tastings, workshops, and artisanal wine regions.

  • 24/01/2026

In Grottaglie (TA), Italian and European producers meet to discuss the market, artisanal viticulture and new perspectives.

Evoluzione Naturale 2026 , the event dedicated to artisanal and natural wine, is in full swing, returning to Grottaglie with its 7th edition and confirming itself as one of the most important events in Southern Italy for dialogue between producers, industry operators, specialized press and wine lovers.

The program kicks off on Saturday, January 24th with a Fuori Salone event held at selected venues in Grottaglie and the surrounding area: a convivial and informal preview that strengthens the connection between the event and the local area, creating opportunities for direct contact with the winemakers.

The event will continue on Sunday, January 25th and Monday, January 26th, 2026 , at the Antico Convento dei Cappuccini in Grottaglie , with two days of tastings, meetings, and guided tastings. This new edition focuses not only on wine, but also on the economic, cultural, and human context in which it is produced, distributed, and described today.

The official opening of the 7th edition is scheduled for Sunday 25 January at 9:00 am , with greetings from the authorities and organisers , which will kick off the opening day.

The heart of the event will be the tasting tables , featuring approximately 60 producers from across Italy and several European countries. This selection offers a broad and diverse picture of contemporary artisanal wine: territorial identities, diverse agricultural practices, and individual interpretations of natural winemaking.

Numerous Italian regions will be represented, including Abruzzo, Basilicata, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Lombardy, Piedmont, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Veneto . Alongside these, a significant international presence will bring producers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Germany, Portugal, and Hungary to Grottaglie, offering a comparative overview of the various European facets of artisanal wine.

The tasting tables thus become a space for direct encounters with winemakers, designed to foster professional exchange, knowledge of the local area, and informed tasting, far removed from purely commercial concerns.

The tasting tables will be open on both days, from 11:30 am to 7:00 pm , both on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th January.

Among the key conceptual innovations of the 2026 edition, the "Insights into the Wine Market" workshop offers a moment of reflection on a complex historical phase for the sector. After years of steady growth, artisanal wine is now facing a slowdown that raises questions and opportunities. This isn't a roundtable of pre-packaged solutions, but a space for listening and analysis based on firsthand experience and real-world market observation.

The workshop will be held on Sunday, January 25th at 9:00 a.m. , at the opening of the event, immediately following the institutional greetings and the organizers' introduction. Speakers will include Roberto Lo Pinto (Sales Manager Italy, Ampeleia & Kippis), Theo Zierock (Foradori), and Vincenzo Caruso (Enoteca Vigneto, Rome). The meeting will be moderated by Matteo Gallello.

Evoluzione Naturale 2026 also offers the guided tasting "Mille Metri," dedicated to high-altitude viticulture. A sensory and cultural journey that explores verticality: not just altitude, but also slope, light, rarefied air, difficult soils, and extreme agricultural labor. Seven artisanal wines from Europe's most rugged mountain regions will be tasted, exploring how altitude influences aromatic profiles, acidity, structure, and longevity.

The guided tasting “Mille Metri” is scheduled for Sunday, January 25th at 1:30 pm and will be led by Matteo Gallello, wine chronicler , with a story dedicated to vertical territories and heroic viticulture practices.

With the 2026 edition, Evoluzione Naturale consolidates its identity as a cultural event, even more than a trade fair: an event capable of critically examining the present of artisanal wine, free from nostalgia or simplification. A place where wine becomes a tool for narrating agricultural labor, market dynamics, and the transformations underway in the world of food and wine.
