COUNTDOWN TO THE "GRIGNOLINO: THE NOBLE REBEL" EVENT

"Grignolino: the Noble RIbelle" promoted by the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS) Piedmont, in synergy with the Barbera d'Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium, the Colline del Monferrato Casalese Consortium, the Grignolino d'Asti Doc Producers Association and Piemonte Doc Grignolino, and the Monferace Association, an initiative that will be held from 15 to 17 March at the suggestive municipal location of Grazzano Badoglio.

EVERYTHING IS READY FOR THE EVENT WHICH WILL ENJOY GRAZZANO BADOGLIO FROM 15 TO 17 MARCH AND CELEBRATE THE ELEGANCE AND INDEMITABLE CHARACTER OF THE PIEDMONT VARIETY.

Great anticipation for the "GRIGNOLINO: THE NOBLE REBEL" event, which will be held from 15 to 17 March at the suggestive municipal location of Grazzano Badoglio , in via IV Novembre 15, the beating heart of Grignolino. Promoted by the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS) Piedmont, in synergy with the Barbera d'Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium, the Colline del Monferrato Casalese Consortium, the Association of Producers of Grignolino d'Asti Doc and Piemonte Doc Grignolino, and the Associazione Monferace this event will offer an immersive experience in the world of Grignolino, describing its numerous facets, the territories and the winemaking and maturation techniques that characterize it. The 2024 edition will be remembered for the great prominence given to young local producers, precisely by virtue of the innovative and future-oriented character that animates and moves all the realities that become ambassadors of this indomitable vine. As proof of this, in the masterclass on Friday 15 March which will be held at 3pm in the upper room of the Bagatto restaurant in Grazzano Badoglio, mainly companies of young producers were involved who in recent years have distinguished themselves for a strong commitment in terms of innovation and modernization, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. “Ours is an area in great turmoil and the young producers who are progressively taking the reins of numerous wineries represent the true promoters and ambassadors of a significant change in this sense. – say the organizers of the event in unison - We take into account that the world of wine is constantly evolving and the technological innovations that these companies are implementing are offering producers new tools to produce increasingly high quality wines in a more efficient and accurate. At the same time, environmental sustainability is becoming increasingly important in production, both to respond to growing concerns about the climate crisis and to meet consumer expectations. Suffice it to say that the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices such as organic cultivation and the use of precision farming techniques are becoming increasingly common among producers.” During the "Note Ribelli" musical aperitif animated by the Jazz Refound group, which will take place on Sunday 17 March, there will also be tastings of the wines of Sbarbatelle, a women's movement that brings together young Italian producers under 35 united by the passion and desire to enhance the diversity of each region in thinking and producing wine. In line with this year's innovations, we also highlight the tasting desk, which will only be present on Saturday and Sunday from 12.00 to 2.30 pm as a temporary desk, with the theme "Grignolino over time". It is a real journey into the past, dedicated to some historical vintages that 30 producing companies will present to understand the potential and evolutionary character of the vine.
