There are just a few weeks to go until the start of Incontri Rotaliani , the wine and cultural festival organized by the Piana Rotaliana Königsberg Tourist Consortium , with the patronage of the municipalities of Mezzolombardo , Mezzocorona and San Michele all'Adige (Trento), scheduled for Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October . The 2025 edition is now accepting advance sales for the tasting sessions and wine labs : the protagonists will be the native Teroldego Rotaliano and Syrah from the guest regions of Cortona (Arezzo) and Côte Rôtie in the Rhone Valley, with 24 participating companies.
The event will open on Saturday morning at 10.00 am at the Teatro San Pietro in Mezzolombardo with the wine talk Wine and Landscape: Stories of Vines, Roots, and Authentic Territories – Conversations between Piana Rotaliana, Cortona, Etna, and Burgundy , moderated by Corriere della Sera Deputy Editor Luciano Ferraro. This afternoon, starting at 3:00 PM at Cantina Martinelli (Mezzocorona), there will be a walk-around tasting featuring over 40 wines and grappas . Representing the Piana Rotaliana will be 16 producers: Breccia, De Vescovi Ulzbach, De Vigili, Donati Marco, Dorigati, Endrizzi, Elio Endrizzi, Fedrizzi Cipriano, Fondazione Edmund Mach, Foradori, Martinelli, Mezzacorona, Rotaliana, Zeni Roberto, Distilleria Bertagnolli, and Distillerie Trentine. From the Cortona area, Doveri, Fabrizio Dionisio, Leuta, Roberta Pasini, and Stefano Amerighi will be present, while from the Côte Rôtie region, there will be wines from Domaine E. Guigal, Domaine René Rostaing, and Domaine Combier. The first day of the event concludes with a dinner. Taste Meetings - 3 Territories on a Plate , scheduled for 8:00 PM at the Rotari Winery in San Michele all'Adige.
On Sunday, October 26, the spotlight will be on the wine labs , guided tastings with limited places designed to offer a firsthand look at Teroldego Rotaliano and the Syrah wines of Cortona and Côte Rôtie, exploring their terroirs, their diverse expressions, and their potential for evolution. Advance tickets are available now: the early bird price is €25 until October 15, and €30 thereafter. Wine experiences also enrich the offering: from a headset tour revealing legends and curiosities about the Piana Rotaliana's iconic grape variety, to a pairing that combines Albert's signature pizzas with the freshness of Teroldego rosé, to an immersive journey through works of art and wine.
