Umbria Top, the cooperative of Umbrian wineries, is ready to launch a strategic year of international relations and high-impact market experiences. For 2026, the collective project promoting Umbrian wines in domestic and international markets will kick off with participation in the prestigious Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris , scheduled for February 9-11 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Wine Paris confirms its position as a key global event for operators and producers, a place to do business, meet international buyers, and develop new partnerships. 60,000 visitors, representatives from 155 markets, and a host of 6,000 exhibitors from 60 countries are expected.
" Today, more than ever, our presence at Wine Paris has a symbolic and concrete value ," says Massimo Sepiacci, President of Umbria Top . " It's not just about promoting excellent wines, but about telling the story of a region. This year's theme, " Umbria: Vine Styles," expresses precisely this: every bottle is a fragment of this story, whose protagonists are those who make wine and those who choose it ."
Umbria Top returns to the Parisian show with enthusiasm and determination, in Hall 2.1 Stand D110 , presenting the wines of ten Umbrian wineries emblematic for their territorial identity and winemaking excellence: Antonelli San Marco, Chiorri, Decugnano dei Barbi, Lungarotti, Scacciadiavoli, Terre Margaritelli, Goretti, Le Poggette, Feudi Spada, and Barberani . In addition, wines from Cantina Vetunna and Cantina Vinsentie will be available for tasting.
This year's guiding theme , "Umbria: Vine Styles," will be the common thread connecting all the opportunities for discussion, promotion, and communication. This concept plays with the double meaning of the word "vine"—the plant that produces wine and life itself—to illustrate the connection between wine, the precious fruit of labor that combines tradition and respect, and a lifestyle characterized by harmonious rhythms, in a region of hills, wineries, and agricultural traditions.
The theme highlights the quality and variety of Umbrian wines, the sustainability and commitment of producers, and the experience of wine as an expression of a broader way of life, typical of Umbria, based on authentic values, balance, and simplicity. " The events held at the beginning of the year are extremely strategic for the wine sector ," says Gioia Bacoccoli, coordinator of Umbria Top , " because on the one hand they promote new vintages, boost the marketing of great vintages, but above all they encourage people to learn about our products through wine tourism experiences and launch regional rural offerings. This is why we're focusing on the theme of "Vine Styles": the harmonious Umbrian way of life must be the calling card for those who choose Umbria as a destination, with the understanding that wine can be the best companion, in a moderate, original, and distinctive way."
Umbria Top 's international journey in 2026 doesn't stop in Paris. After Wine Paris, many other wine industry events are planned to strengthen the visibility and commercial relations of Umbrian wineries. These include:
Outside Europe, the OCM Vino project is also active for the 14 participating companies that will bring Umbria to 8 international markets: the USA, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, China, Brazil, Japan and Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam are the target countries of the promotional operations aimed at expanding the market for Umbrian wines.
All Umbria Top events are part of an ever-expanding calendar, which sees Italy and its wine regions increasingly playing a leading role in international dialogue with emerging and established markets.
