The March 2026 edition concluded with a success that exceeded all expectations, establishing the event as an unmissable event. For 2027, we have decided to consolidate this extraordinary positioning, confirming the prestigious venue that has captivated exhibitors and visitors, and introducing important strategic innovations .

The numbers of an unstoppable success

The latest edition marked an exceptional milestone, which we want to overcome together with you:

• Over 1,000 selected attendees attended: An incredible turnout of qualified Ho.Re.Ca. industry professionals (restaurateurs, wine merchants, distributors), trade press, and longtime enthusiasts flocked to the capital.
• An extraordinary online boom: In the three months leading up to the event, our social media communications reached record numbers (visible in the attached report visual nov.gen.jpg). Our content appeared on users' screens over 206,000 times , reaching more than 32,000 unique people (a 651% increase).
• New audiences for your wineries: A full 67.5% of these people were previously unfamiliar with us . Rome Wine Expo's communications therefore act as a veritable magnet, constantly attracting new customers, restaurateurs, and markets for your wines.

Exceptional Dates and Locations: The Westin Excelsior Rome

For the 2026/2027 editions we confirm a venue of the utmost prestige and strong scenic impact: the famous The Westin Excelsior Rome , located at Via Vittorio Veneto 125, in the heart of Rome's Dolce Vita.

The event will take place on November 28 and 29, 2026. The show will be held in a single, large, and elegant room, ensuring perfect usability, an extraordinary overall view, and maximum enhancement of each individual display stand.

The structure is also extremely functional from a logistical point of view:

• Easy accessibility: just a 10-minute walk from Termini Station and 100 metres from Metro A (Barberini stop).
• Convenience: two large guarded car parks (Parking Ludovisi and Parking Saba Villa Borghese) are located nearby.

The event will be concentrated over two days : strongly oriented towards sales but also aimed at Ho.Re.Ca. sector professionals, buyers and the press, and open to wine lovers and aficionados from across the region.

Sales at the Fair and New Features for 2027: Fuori Salone and E-Commerce

Direct sales at the counter : As per tradition, for the 2027 edition, producers present with a single counter will also be guaranteed the opportunity to sell their bottles directly during the event, allowing them to immediately capitalize on the strong interest of the public and operators in attendance.

E-commerce opportunities to continue selling even after the show : We have established a partnership with the Stappando.it platform, with the aim of offering participating wineries the opportunity to list and sell their wines on their portal at special rates and without listing fees, providing an additional digital showcase for exhibiting companies. The Rome Wine Expo Wine Challenge Competition

Our official wine competition, the Wine Challenge , will be held during the event, highlighting the best wines in attendance. The audience will vote for the best wine per category using a ballot that will be handed out at the event entrance. The winning wines for each category will be announced at the end of the event.  

Event schedule and collateral areas

• Tasting stands: Located in the main hall, these must be presided over by the producer, their representative, or a certified sommelier. Winemakers with a single stand will be guaranteed the opportunity to sell their wines directly during the event.
• In-depth masterclasses: Great importance will be given to masterclasses aimed at exploring the various terroirs and the chosen grape varieties that enhance the territory.
• Gastronomic Excellence: Food artisans will be present with high-quality national cuisine as a tasty complement to the wine tasting.
