ONLY WINE FESTIVAL 2015

The only event in Italy dedicated to young Producers and small Wineries in the new millennium is back in Città di Castello on 18th and 19th April for a weekend of Taste, Art, Emotion.



The top 100 Under 40 Italian Producers and the small wineries will be guests of Only Wine to introduce the best of their production with free and guided tastings, rapid courses to approach to tasting and tours guided by AIS sommeliers to discover the regional excellences, ad hoc pairings including those with unique dishes by Art Food, conceived and made at present by young chefs.

Special guests: the wines of the Balkans, to tell the public the stories and traditions of those distant and fascinating lands.



Only Wine Festival is back, the first and only fair event in Italy dedicated to young Producers and small Wineries. Organized by FieraShow, in collaboration with AIS national and regional of Umbria, sponsored by the Ministry of Agricultural Policies, the Region of Umbria and the Municipality of Città di Castello, the show will be held in the historic center of the town of Città di Castello, in the Province of Perugia, on 18th and 19th April 2015.



To be protagonists of this second edition of Only Wine, there will be the best 100 "under 40" Italian producers and small wineries selected by AIS, that will exhibit and will make you enjoy the best of their production through free and guided tastings.



Only Wine this year offers three types of Wine Tasting. The first, free, can be done by buying the ticket of € 10, which gives you the opportunity taste 5 wines of your choice with Only Wine Festival personalized glass.

For those who want to learn the secrets of wine tasting and make of them a moment of conscious pleasure in few but essential steps, the expert sommeliers of AIS will hold also rapid courses of approach to the tasting, at fixed times during the weekend. The Speed Wine will last about 30 minutes each, for a fee and by reservation, to be made on the website www.onlywinefestival.it.

Finally, for the most curious ones, the AIS sommeliers will become real Wine Coaches, available for guided tours, on reservation and for small groups, to the discovery of the regional excellences taking part in the event, revealing secrets, features and ideal pairings. Among the many innovations of Only Wine Festival 2015, the original moments dedicated to Art Food: to food and its representations in art. In this way, food becomes not only subject and "material" of the works of artists from around the world, but also an opportunity for the public to enjoy art. Young chefs will gather in Città di Castello, each to interpret the work of an artist through food art and, of course, everything will be completed by the pairing with a good wine.

Another important novelty of the 2015 edition will be the exhibition space devoted entirely to the fine wines of the lands of the Balkans, that Only Wine Festival has chosen as special guests for this year. Therefore, visitors will have the opportunity to taste the full–bodied and longevous red wines and the elegant white wines of Bulgaria, the aromatic Romanian nectars, moving then to the wines of Macedonia, such as the Vranec, then to Serbia, with its round red wines, produced with the Prokupac variety and Croatia, with its standard–bearer, the powerful Plavac Mali red wine, to arrive, finally, to Greece and Turkey, respectively, with the Assyrtiko and the delicate Öküzgözü, a native of Eastern Anatolia, or the rare Karazakis.



Only Wine will also be the place of meeting and exchange between the world of wine and the one of restaurants, thanks to the presence of Michelin–starred chefs, oenologists, sommeliers, winemakers, with whom we will discuss sales strategies, staff training, management of the winery, wines in glass, combinations and everything that is culture around wine.



Inaugurating the event, there will be a conference aimed at comparing the young "under 40" European producers, which will be attended, among others, by young MEPs. Days of tastings and workshops for further study, meetings and performances, art exhibitions, cultural events, will follow.



Only Wine Festival will be, therefore, a true exaltation of the pleasures of wine and food with the inevitable involvement of all 5 senses, for an unforgettable experience.
