The event conceived by Gian Marco Gabarello is aiming for its fourth edition: "the event has won everyone over, Bologna is increasingly a city of wine". 80 participating wineries, great appreciation for the presence of the producers of the Colli Bolognesi and for the sparkling wines to which a space was dedicated thanks to the partnership with Spumanti Italia.
The 2025 edition of the Bologna Wine Week has come to an end, seven intense and highly attended days that transformed the Emilian capital into a small capital of Italian wine: from 5 to 11 May Bologna hosted various events including tastings, masterclasses, meetings with producers, moments of cultural study and thematic itineraries that involved thousands of wine lovers, operators in the sector and the curious, confirming the central role of the city of Bologna as a point of reference for the promotion of Italian food and wine. An entire week that saw a constant turnout in all the main locations, the city restaurants and Palazzo Re Enzo which was at the center of the weekend: " Bologna responded with enthusiasm, confirming its vocation as a city open to dialogue between tradition and the future - says the organizer Gian Marco Gabarello - the Bologna Wine Week is not just a wine exhibition, but a cultural platform that enhances territories, people and stories ". Many dedicated events that put the city at the center and marked the moments of the third edition of the event (held from May 5 to 11), the absolute protagonists are the wines and those who make them, with the presence of dozens of wineries from different parts of Italy, consortia, producers and sommeliers. Among the new features of this edition is a guide (you can download it here) with the local partners, an area dedicated to sparkling wines, thanks to the partnership with Spumanti Italia (now in its seventh edition), and the great success of the OFF part with the participation of over 50 restaurants: " we are really happy to have managed to involve the city, there is a common vision that will make this event grow even more - Gabarello specifies - we are carrying forward a new idea of communicating wine that must be accessible and must make the wines of our region known and promoted more and more". After the first two editions in Piazza Minghetti, the event was moved to Palazzo Re Enzo, Piazza Nettuno and Sala Borsa where conferences were held with a focus on wine tourism, sustainability, innovation and new styles of consumption, among the eleven masterclasses that were held, the spotlight was also on the pairing of Parmigiano Reggiano and Pignoletto, a territorial and strategic combination of the two excellences of the region. The Bologna Wine Week thus confirms itself as a reference event in the national calendar of food and wine events, with the aim of growing further in the next editions. The event wanted by Gian Marco Gabarello, through his wine shop Ebrezze, was created with the patronage of the Municipality of Bologna, the Emilia Romagna Region and Bologna Welcome.
