The Umbrian wineries' collective will be present at the event, with a large representation of producers—17 wineries—confirming their commitment to the slow wine philosophy.
For the fourth consecutive year, Umbria Top has confirmed its participation (Hall 15 C3, desks 1 to 17) at the Slow Wine Fair in Bologna, scheduled for February 22nd to 24th , one of the most significant events in the national winemaking panorama from the point of view of sustainability.
Organized by BolognaFiere with the artistic direction of Slow Food, the fair, which is set to welcome over 16,000 visitors, will feature 1,000 Italian and international wineries, over 60% of which are certified organic and share a consistent, artisanal approach to production. Slow Fair opens a new front for reflection and discussion: that of good, clean, and fair wine , exploring the social dimension of the winemaking supply chain.
The cooperative will be present with a large and representative group of Umbrian wineries, demonstrating the growing belief among companies in the value of transparency throughout the entire supply chain, from soil health to the organoleptic and environmental quality of the wine, to packaging and logistics as key elements of sustainability, while also focusing on the impact on people and communities generated by decent work, inclusion, and new opportunities.
" Slow Fair represents an important opportunity to showcase the Umbrian region through the stories of its wineries and virtuous production practices, in keeping with the Slow philosophy, based on sustainability, authenticity, and quality ," explains Massimo Sepiacci , president of UmbriaTop. " The event represents a strategic moment for the regional wine sector, not only as an opportunity to meet with operators, buyers, and industry professionals, but also as a key event in the national calendar, ranking among the main events in Italy before Vinitaly ," he concludes.
Northern Italy also represents an additional strategic context for wineries, given the particular interest of the Horeca channel and high-end restaurants, which are seeking small, high-quality productions, such as those from Umbria.
17 associated wineries will be present at the Slow Wine Fair 2026: Abbazia Castel d'Alfiolo , Adanti, Antonelli San Marco, Blasi Cantina , Cantina Baldassarri , Cantina Colle Ciocco , Castello di Montegiove , Chiorri , Colle Uncinano , Daniele Rossi , Di Filippo , Fongoli , Le Cimate , Leonardo Bussoletti , Scacciadiavoli , Tenuta di Saragano and Terre Margaritelli Organic Wines .
Participation in the Slow Wine Fair is part of a broader vision that sees sustainability as a central element of Umbrian wineries' production and promotional strategies. Member companies share an approach focused on environmental protection, enhancing biodiversity, and promoting responsible agricultural practices, helping to strengthen Umbria's position among the regions most committed to quality and sustainability. UmbriaTop's initiatives are part of the initiatives promoting certified Umbrian products promoted by the UmbriaTop Wines Cooperative as part of the CSR Umbria 2023-2027 measure – intervention SRG10 "Promotion of Quality Products."
