Dedicated tastings are scheduled at Palazzo Roccabruna - Provincial Enoteca of Trentino and in the Valle dei Laghi, events at the Casa Caveau del Vino Santo, themed dinners and the inevitable Rite of Spremitura, as well as initiatives to discover the natural and cultural heritage of the valley .
The #Trentinowinefest , oenological events dedicated to the testimonial wines of Trentino, kick off with the celebration of Nosiola , the only native white grape variety, and Vino Santo , an extraordinary nectar that comes from the very long drying of its grapes.
The occasion is " DiVinNosiola: when wine becomes a saint ", organized by the Valle dei Laghi Tourist Consortium and by the Vignaioli Vino Santo Trentino DOC association, with the support of Trentino Marketing, the coordination of the Trentino Wine and Flavors Route – as part of the promotion of the #trentinowinefest – and the collaboration of APT Garda Dolomiti, the Consorzio Vini del Trentino, the Ecomuseum of the Valle dei Laghi, Palazzo Roccabruna in Trento and Casa Caveau Vino Santo.
The appointment is scheduled from 30 March to 8 April with various initiatives between the Valle dei Laghi and the city of Trento.
In particular, on Friday 31 March , at 10.30 , at the Pravis Agricultural Company , the “ Tasting Masterclass ” will be staged, conducted by Roberto Anesi, AIS sommelier. Details, costs and booking by writing to info@vinosantotrentino.it.
Later, at 3.00 pm , at the Francesco Poli Agricultural Company , the eagerly awaited Rite of Spremitura will take place, in collaboration with the Confraternita della Vite e del Vino of Trento, in which the first withered Nosiola grapes will be pressed. A symbolic moment, an opportunity to meet and share, whose participation is free.
From 16.00 to 19.00 the appointment is instead at the suggestive Casa Caveau del Vino Santo in Padergnone , for a guided tour of what represents the temple of this excellence, to discover its history and curiosities. The location will also be the protagonist on the following day, Saturday 1 April, at 18.00 , of " Storie di Vini ", an event dedicated to four Slow Food Presidia wines, for a journey dedicated to those winemakers who , as in the Valle dei Laghi, work daily to pass on techniques, crafts and flavours. In tasting, the sparkling wine Asprinio Brut 8 months MM by I Borboni, the white Emozione N.1 Montonico IGT Colli Aprutini by Azienda Agricola Valente, the red Dolcetto d'Alba DOC by Azienda Agricola Patroni, the red Enantio from ungrafted vineyards IGT Vallagarina by Azienda Agricola Bongiovanni and Vino Santo Trentino by Giovanni Poli.
The program for Saturday 8 April is also rich: at 2.00 pm the traditional trekking on the Nosiola Path will take place, 7 km for about 3 hours, departing from Padergnone and free by reservation (gardatrentino.it/SentieroEtnografico), with ritual final sprinkling at the Casa Caveau del Vino Santo, in which the eyes of those present will be bathed with drops of Nosiola as a good-luck gesture for the starting agricultural season. At 5.30 pm , in the small square of Padergnone, it will be the turn of " Nosiola in note ", a musical event by the "Valle dei Laghi" choir with traditional songs which, whoever wishes, can be followed by a visit to the Casa Holy Wine Vault.
In the provincial capital, instead, the appointment is at Palazzo Roccabruna - Enoteca Provinciale del Trentino , from Thursday 30 March to Saturday 1 April and from Thursday 6 to Saturday 8 April , from 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm, where more references of Nosiola and Vino Santo will be tasted , in addition to the related grappas. Furthermore , on Wednesday 5 April , at 20.00 , the ONAV-Section of Trento is proposing a themed educational evening entitled " Nosiola: the yellow gold of Trentino ", with tastings paired with some selected Trentino gastronomic products, from the world of fish up to the Easter dove (info and reservations: Trento@onav.it).
To enrich the program, the Trips and Taste Experiences offered by the Trentino Wine and Flavors Route , i.e. multi-day packages or proposals to be experienced in the day between cellars, landscape and initiatives of the event. Finally, for the entire duration of the event, the Hosteria Toblino offers "A table with... the Nosiola!", a menu linked to the territory, the Valle dei Laghi and Lake Garda, with the creativity of chef Sartorelli and the combinations, ça va sans dire , with Nosiola and Vino Santo.
