Gastronomic combinations in perfect harmony

In the heart of the Easter holidays, Valpolicella is preparing to offer a table full of authentic and harmonious flavours, enriched by its fine wines which go perfectly with traditional Italian dishes. This landscape jewel, nestled among the valleys that branch off from Verona, not only enchants with its extraordinary beauty, but also stands out as a wine area of the highest quality, from which wines appreciated in Italy and around the world are born. Its landscape structure, with a range of valleys that contain unique treasures, testifies to the importance and diversity of this territory. Divided into three main areas according to the production regulations, Valpolicella is the refuge of prized vines such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. With 344 bottlers and processors, 6 cooperative wineries and 2,251 grape-producing agricultural companies, the Consortium for the Protection of Valpolicella Wines stands as guardian of this thousand-year-old legacy, guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of wines such as Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG, Valpolicella Ripasso DOC and Valpolicella DOC.

But Valpolicella is not just a wine-growing area; it is also a culinary experience which, also and above all during the holidays, manages to inspire all cooking enthusiasts in the creation of dishes rich in history and flavours, perfect for enriching the tables during the conviviality occasions typical of Easter. There are infinite culinary proposals within which it is possible to range in a game of truly surprising flavors and combinations: Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, with its complexity and structure, finds a happy union with a classic of the Easter tradition such as baked lamb, embellished with local aromatic herbs, which blends perfectly with the fruity and spicy notes of the wine.

The Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG, sweet and enveloping, is instead the ideal accompaniment for the Easter Colomba, a symbol of celebration and tradition, creating a pleasant contrast between sweetness and freshness. Valpolicella Ripasso DOC, with its fruity and spicy character, harmonizes very well with the aromatic complexity of the Pastiera Napoletana, a traditional Easter dessert, creating a balance between sweetness and liveliness. Finally, Valpolicella DOC, fresh and fragrant, is ideal to accompany cappelletti in broth, a dish that warms the heart and evokes the warmth of the family gathered at the table.

Therefore, whether it is a sumptuous Amarone, an enveloping Recioto, a vibrant Valpolicella Ripasso or a fresh Valpolicella, Valpolicella wines are able to satisfy every palate and every occasion. With their complexity, their elegance and their unique character, these wines prove to be ideal companions for enhancing the flavors of traditional Easter dishes to create unforgettable experiences of sharing and conviviality.
