Great co-protagonists of this series of unmissable initiatives will be the wines of the thirteen denominations of the Barbera d'Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium which will be possible to taste and discover in multiple variations.
We start on 28-29 October with " IL NIZZA È ", a real hub of experiences for wine enthusiasts designed to discover all the nuances of the Nizza Docg denomination. In an excellent location such as Palazzo Crova in Nizza Monferrato, a fascinating place that tells the story of Monferrato gastronomy, it will be possible to take part in the six tasting tables designed to make the public and sector operators aware of and appreciating the differences between the main terroirs of the DOCG as well as a comparative tasting of old and new vintages paired with anchovies and chocolate which will take place on Saturday 28th at 5.00 pm at the Ex Chiesa Sant.ma Trinità (for info and reservations: www.enotecanizza.it) . The calendar then continues on 30-31 October with the participation of the wines of the Barbera d'Asti Consortium and Vini del Monferrato at CIOCCOLATÒ , the great chocolate fair in Turin scheduled from 27 October to 5 November. During the event, which will transform the Piedmontese capital into an open-air chocolate factory for 10 days, enthusiasts and wine lovers will also be able to discover new and original combinations between the most varied chocolate-based specialties and the wines of the consortium denominations. First appointment scheduled for Monday 30 October, from 5pm to 6pm: Master Chocolatier Nicolas Vella will offer two chocolates, one dark chocolate filled with pear jelly and dark ganache and the other with peach jelly and milk and amaretto ganache , combined with the sweetness of Piedmont DOC Moscato Passito. The following day, October 31st, from 6pm to 8pm, will feature the wedding of Pasta Girardi's cocoa tonnarelli (present with other chocolate specialties in a stand entirely dedicated to fresh pasta) which will be seasoned with cheese and pepper by the chef Danilo Pelliccia and combined with one of the Consortium's excellences: the Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato Docg and the Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato Docg Riserva. Finally, excitement and anticipation for the “ ROSSO BARBERA ” event which from 3 to 6 November will enliven Costigliole d'Asti, headquarters of the Consortium with four days of tastings, meetings, insights, entertainment, pairings, artistic and cultural excursions dedicated to one of the most popular and versatile from Piedmont. The fulcrum of the celebrations is the Costigliole castle, lit up in red for the occasion. Inside the manor, a tasting stand will be set up with the wines obtained from this vine in the various production areas of Piedmont and Lombardy. Over 200 labels will be present for the most complete review of Barbera (for info and reservations: www.rossobarbera.it).
