CANTINA CORDERO DI MONTEZEMOLO PRESENTS "IL TRATTO"

There's a sign that spans time, connecting memory and future, and telling a story of land, family, and creativity. This idea gave rise to "Il Tratto," the new project from Cantina Cordero di Montezemolo, a limited-edition Barolo Monfalletto 2022 that intertwines the worlds of wine and art through a collaboration with the artist and illustrator. At the center of the work is a figure inspired by Paolo Cordero di Montezemolo, the protagonist of a journey spanning over seventy years of projects, passions, and visions, from agriculture to architecture, from technical drawing to racing cars.

" With Il Tratto we wanted to tell the story of Barolo Monfalletto through a different language, capable of going beyond tasting. This project was born from the desire to share our history, family values, and our deep connection with the Langhe through an experience that combines wine, art, and culture." he states.   Alberto Cordero di Montezemolo: “My grandfather Paolo always believed that wine was culture before it was a product, and this limited edition represents the synthesis of that vision, transforming a bottle into a story capable of speaking to people through emotions, images, and memories. ”

To interpret this story, the family chose Boban Pesov , an artist and illustrator known for a style that blends imagination, narrative precision, and strong visual impact. His ability to construct worlds suspended between memory and future, reality and vision, made him the ideal partner to translate into images the identity of a family that has lived in the Langhe and Barolo for generations. Through his style, the landscape, the people, and the values of the winery become part of a contemporary narrative in which art and wine interact naturally.

"Il Tratto" represents the meeting of two forms of expression: that of the Cordero di Montezemolo vineyards and that of art. The illustrations by Boban Pesov lead the reader into a universe suspended between reality and imagination, where the Langhe landscape dialogues with the graphic design and identity of one of the winery's signature wines. More than a bottle, "Il Tratto" is therefore a visual story embodied in an exclusive collector's box set containing three bottles of Barolo Monfalletto 2022, designed to accompany enthusiasts and collectors on a journey through memory, imagination, and identity.
