Artisanal wines say goodbye to Venice with the closing of the sixth edition of Back To The Wine, making an appointment to meet next year

Back To The Wine , the event organized by Andrea Marchetti and Blu Nautilus which was held at Terminal 103 in Venice on 12 and 13 November dedicated to natural wine, but also to excellent food, artisanal quality beer and spirits , to the world of Specialty Coffee and sector publishing, has come to an end for this year. The curtain closes, we reflect on what has been and we are already thinking about the future.

« I am very satisfied with this sixth edition of Back To The Wine, it is an event that celebrates the craftsmanship of the winemakers and their knowledge in accompanying the excellence of the raw material towards the final product. – Says Andrea Marchetti, the curator of the Fair and Market – Our expectations for the future are ambitious because we strongly believe in the values that underlie the event. We are already working to further expand connections with local administrations , from municipal to regional, to lay the foundations for an increasingly structured welcome towards operators in the wine sector, in search of a spectrum of participation by professionals even more, well beyond both local and national borders ."

More than 1500 visitors , including sector operators and enthusiasts, 900 labels presented , 30,000 tastings in total, 150 producers' stories , endless anecdotes and a complete overview of the state of the art of artisanal wines. Success is not only measured by numbers, but also by the shine in people's eyes: both those who talk about their passion, their life and those who, curious to discover new products, present themselves with openness and a thirst for knowledge .

A great deal of interest was aroused by the seminars offered in the context of the event, which were appreciated and attended. “Is coffee a drink, a bean or a plant?”, held by Matteo Dalpozzo, expert and entrepreneur, and Matteo Pavoni, Italian Barista Champion 2022, provided participants with a broad look at the world of coffee , as large as it is unknown. to most, dismantling many clichés. “The bio-sustainable vineyard of the future”, a meeting conducted by the winemakers Paolo Babini and Thomas Niedermayr and the arborist Stefano Lorenzi, focused on the importance of the richness of plant species in the vineyard , recreating natural biodiversity.

The desire of Back To The Wine is therefore to replicate in Venice in 2024, so as to make the most of this year's experience and add further value to the proposal, to continuously fuel the aim of creating an increasingly interesting and stimulating environment for both exhibitors and visitors.

Back To The Wine was organized with the support of Confesercenti Metropolitana Venezia Rovigo. The main partners of the event: Bacaro Risorto and Dada Wine. The partners: Piedi Nudi, Ellenikà, Rolling Wine, Agricola Raffetta, Trattoria Stazione and MacGuffin.
