Refosco

Description of the wine:
The Refosco wine is fresh and simple, fruity, which according to the areas of production may be more or less intense and structured. In Friuli-Venezia Giulia there are eight DOC that provide for the single-variety vinification of Refosco: Karst, Eastern Hills of Friuli, Friuli-Annia, Friuli-Aquileia, Friuli-Grave, Friuli-Isonzo,
Friuli-Latisana, Lison-Pramaggiore.

Organoleptic characteristics:
The single-variety vinification of Refosco leads to produce wines with intense and crystal clear ruby ​​red color, strong aroma, at the beginning floral and then fruity, and characteristic. In the mouth they are structured and balanced.

Historical-cultural infos and curiosities:
The Refosco was produced and consumed at banquets already in Roman times, and has always been a very popular wine, the subject of studies and star of congresses so that, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia you can recognize eight denominations of origin of this wine.
