Italian Red Wine Tageto Rosso

Description of the wine: The Tageto wine is a Costa Toscana Rosso IGT. It is vinified in a small area of ​​Tuscany where the grapes of French vines found an excellent climate to enhance their features and give an intense and structured wine. Organoleptic characteristics: The Tageto Rosso wine has deep ruby-garnet color with evident purple glares. It has a wide aroma, with notes of red berries, pepper, chocolate and licorice. In the mouth it is harmonious, well-structured, with a persistent and sweet final. Historical-cultural information and curiosities: According to a legend, Tageto, arisen from the ground while Tarconte was plowing a field, tought to the Etruscans the methods of cultivation of vines and olives. Serving suggestions: Typical Tuscan dishes, especially soups and croutons, salami and red meat. Production area: Territories of the town of Bolgheri, Tuscany, where French vines find an ideal microclimate for their cultivation. Production techniques: The contact of the must with the skins is very prolonged to favor the color and the aroma of this wine. It is aged in French oak barrels for four/six months, and for six months in bottles. Grape varieties allowed to produce it: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
