Organoleptic characteristics: This wine has a golden yellow color, more or less intense, with possible shades of amber. It has a
strong smell, an aroma of ripe fruit with possible hints of vanilla. In the mouth it is
characteristic, balanced with a light taste of raisin, sweetish or sweet, with a slightly bitter aftertaste, traditionally lively, with the possible perception of wood.
Historical-cultural information and curiosities:
Viticulture, in the territory, was born thanks to the Etruscans, but the origins of Gambellara are uncertain: some records date back to Roman times, others to the Middle Ages.
Serving suggestions:
It is a dessert wine, suitable with sweets of all kinds: dry cakes or creamy cakes, cookies of all kinds, ice cream, but do not go well with chocolate.
Production area:
In the province of Vicenza, in the municipalities of Gambellara, Montebello Vicentino, Montorso and Zermeghedo.
Grape varieties allowed for its production: Garganega (minimum 80%);
Grapes of Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay and Trebbiano di Soave, present in the vineyards up to a maximum of 20%, can contribute to the production.
