Champagne en Libertè in Portofino

The sparkling air of Champagne en liberté blows over the bay of Portofino, inflating the sails of Alberto Massucco who announces the arrival in Italy of Le'Fabulleuses and other important innovations of his maison.

Alberto Massucco, Savoyard entrepreneur and the first Italian to own a vineyard in Champagne, on Monday 27 September, welcomed his customers in the most prestigious place in Portofino, Castello Brown, which since 1400 has dominated the bay of one of the most evocative corners of the world . Portofino, second stage of the Champagne en liberté format, was the most suitable natural stage to announce an awaited arrival in Italy. “The Fa'Bulleuses, the seven Isos producers, will finally be in Turin on 12 October. We are organizing a moment of meeting with restaurateurs, maîtrees, professionals in the sector and the press in order to get to know them, fully understand the cultural project that unites them and of course, taste their champagne together "says Massucco who has been importing Isos exclusively since its first production: "Not a simple champagne, but the ensemble of seven different places represented by the young producers who, through the 644 bottles produced so far, are the spokespersons of a single feeling." The evening was also an opportunity to share the results of a year of intense and rewarding work. “Portofino is my home of choice and right here, this year we have developed important projects by creating two Cuvée Privée. A cuvée celebrating the thirty years of activity of the Ö magazin restaurant in Two Things is never enough: a good glass of champagne and a good glass of Portofino champagne and a cuvée for the legendary Ugo Repetto, owner of the Morena bar who for years his cocktails animates the square. " 2020 was a year of growth, as Cinzia Zanellato, manager of the Alberto Massucco Champagne company underlines, which recorded a significant increase in sales, acquiring a slice of the market as important as that of individuals. It is to be assumed that with the release of the new labels this figure will be largely exceeded. “The spring of 2022 will certainly be a hot spring - smiles Massucco - and we will be ready to quench our thirst with“ Mon idée de Cramant ”. 2018 was a year of great quality and the vineyards of Cramant, Grand Cru village, of the Côte de Blanc, produced an exceptional champagne. For this reason, in collaboration with Erick de Sousa, we have created this new label with a limited edition of 500 bottles, all strictly numbered ”. From the Alberto Massucco Champagne line, of which there is great anticipation, the Mirede cuvée will be ready for now while, for the vintage Alberto Massucco Grand Cru, Blanc de Blancs, it will have to wait until 2023. "Air", a theme that accompanied the second edition of Champagne en liberté, format created by Laura Gobbi communications manager of Alberto Massucco is a sensory journey that transforms bubbles into tools that communicate with the soul. The menu designed by Matteo Baronetto * chef of the historic Turin restaurant Del Cambio reinforces the sense of lightness that we wanted to tell. “With Matteo there is a deep understanding. When he proposed to me to create a cuvée for his restaurant, a symbol of our culture, I was honored. Thus was born Cuvée Privée del Cambio, a Blanc de Blancs 100% Chardonnay. I confess - adds Alberto - seeing one of our champagne served at the table where Cavour sat, has a certain effect. " Two things are never enough: a good glass of champagne and a good glass of champagne Oysters from Red Oyster have been added to the menu, ambassador of voices that have dialogued between sea and land, between Piedmont and Liguria, between fluidity and solidity.
