The Green Asparagus of Altedo PGI is the first protagonist of this new narration, which aims to tell the PDO and PGI products used in the various cocktail and long drink recipes. The media partner of this campaign is I Love Italian Food , an international network that promotes true Italian gastronomic culture in the world, which has created a series of dedicated contents, with the aim of capturing the attention of the younger public and presenting new ways to taste the DOP and IGP products.
Like all PGI branded fruit and vegetables, the geographical area involved in the production and the reference season give particular characteristics and qualities to the products. In this period it is the green Asparagus of Altedo PGI that finds its ideal climate in the area between the Via Emilia in the province of Bologna and some municipalities in the province of Ferrara.
The particular composition of the soil in the production areas, the cultivation techniques and its properties make the organoleptic characteristics of the Green Asparagus of Altedo PGI unique, ready to be enjoyed from April until late June.
The Green Asparagus of Altedo PGI finds innumerable uses in the kitchen and is a true ally for the body thanks to its precious nutrients, as well as counteracting skin ageing, eliminating toxins and strengthening the immune defences.
The content of the campaign will be conveyed through a series of videos in reel format: the protagonists of the world of mixology will be involved, bar tenders known in the panorama of the best cocktail bars around and their following, made up of increasingly passionate and attentive young people use of quality raw materials. All the products in the campaign will have a dedicated recipe which will be published on the official PDO PGI Fruit and Vegetable channels. The preparation will best enhance the flavors and smells of PDO and PGI fruit and vegetables, and will be replicable following doses and methods.
The first drink with PDO and PGI products is signed by Francesco Trimigno, an Apulian bartender who lives in Bologna and is the owner of Emporio 1920, an innovative and original place that in 2016 was nominated among the best 10 cocktail bars in Italy.
Below is the recipe for the cocktail created with Altedo PGI green asparagus while on the social channels of @fruttaeverdura_dopigp and those of I Love Italian Food you will find the video recipe.
