31st Mondial des Vins Extrêmes: the awards ceremony on 1 December in the capital

The awards ceremony for the winners of the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes will be held on 1 December at Palazzo Rospigliosi in Rome, the only wine competition in the world specifically dedicated to wines resulting from heroic viticulture which since 1992 aims to promote and safeguard the production of small areas island or mountain wineries, on steep slopes or terraced. The ceremony will be introduced by a round table entitled Wines from heroic viticulture: when the territory leaves its mark, starting from 10.00 am . Journalists, producers, politicians and professionals will discuss the topic, moderated by Manuela Zennaro , wine&food writer, director of Excellence Magazine and delegate for the Lazio Region of the National Association of Women of Wine. On the same occasion, the journalist and television presenter Valentina Bisti will be appointed Ambassador of Heroic Viticulture CERVIM - Center for Research, Studies, Protection, Coordination and Enhancement for Mountain Viticulture. At 11.30 the 45 Grand Gold Medals and 238 Gold Medals will be awarded to the wines that stood out in the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes , carefully selected from the 863 competing labels from 319 companies from 26 countries. “The day dedicated to the winners of the 31st Mondial des Vins Extrêmes represents a well-deserved recognition for heroic producers from all over the world and an unmissable experience for the wine lovers who will take part in the tasting tables – declares Stefano Celi , President of CERVIM – It promises to be an unforgettable event that celebrates the passion and dedication of the winemakers contained in every sip." The event will end at the Hotel Savoy with the tasting tables of the awarded excellences . The tasting will be organized in three shifts starting from 4.00 pm, each lasting two hours. The first, from 4.00pm to 6.00pm, will be reserved exclusively for accredited journalists and operators. The subsequent ones, from 6.00pm to 8.00pm and from 8.00pm to 10.00pm, will also be open to the public of enthusiasts at a cost of 25 euros. There is a reduction of 15 euros for Go Wine members and 20 euros for members of sector associations (AIS, FISAR, ONAV).
